This week was the last week of buddy reading every week. As this is the last time they are going to read together for a little while, it doesn't mean they aren't going to have opportunities to get together with their buddies. This upcoming week, we are going to have "Read Around the Park" and so you will want to make sure you check back later this week for those pictures.

We had a lovely afternoon celebrating Special Friend's Day. The students' enjoyed getting to participate in the activities from The Works Museum. Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon!
We have been truly enjoying getting to read with our buddies. It is fun to watch their relationships grow each and every time. Today, the boys were back in our room! Once again, a lot of reading was taking place.
Today we had the opportunity to read with our buddies again. The girls were in our room today and they enjoyed getting to continue to read with them. They are highly engaged in their reading and are helping one another.
We have been learning all about measurement and today we started learning about measuring mass. We tried using paperclips to measure mass but found out that it is not the best way to measure mass because we were all getting different answers.
We have a buddy reading challenge going on this month and students were super excited to meet their buddies and have the opportunity to read with them. The boys stayed in our room today and the girls went to Mrs. Roton's room. Next week, the girls will be in here. Check out the videos of all the reading!
The students have been VERY busy with the STEM bins. They are LOVING them and especially making towers with cups. We are now to the point where we need to challenge ourselves to improve upon what we are doing that may seem "easy" to them.
We have started a new opportunity in our classroom..wait for it... STEM bins. The students are working hard to plan out what they are going to build, what challenges they will face, and the steps they are going to take to build it. Here are the first few creations!

We did a little goal setting for the upcoming year. Many of the goals were thoughtful and wanting to make changes that are positive. I hope we can reach them!
