We had our first day of Spark Lab today and the scholars were busy building towers. The goal for the towers were to choose one of the three choices: tallest tower, creative tower, or the sturdiest tower. There was a lot of creativity going on and collaboration. I may have taken too many pictures...ops!
We were back at the spark lab today and they were working on communicating. They had to use the iPads to color a picture. There was a catch, they could only tell their partner what they wanted colored and could NOT touch the iPads.
The students were working on being responsible in the Spark Lab by creating a newscast. It was loud in the room because of the excitement but many groups were able to get a video created. One group go to see what it is like when someone wears a green shirt and is standing in front of a green screen.
Today was our second day in the Spark Lab. The students got to use the tables as their whiteboards to draw one of the four core values of Panther Pride in the Spark Lab.
The students worked on building and creating a tower using spaghetti and marshmallows. Some worked by themselves while others chose to work with a partner. It was a great first day!
Yesterday was the last day of Ozobots. The students worked on creating their own path for the Ozobots. Some of the paths worked better than others but overall it was a good time. Stay tuned to the next adventure in the Spark Lab!
The students were able to make different codes to see the cool moves that the Ozobots could do. Check out their cool moves!
The students were working last week on trying to get their Ozobot to the star. Some were more successful then others and were able to share how they got it to the star.
The students were working either in groups or by themselves on the next portion of Ozobots. They were controlling in which direction the Ozobots were going. The Ozobots didn't always go where the students wanted them to go and some even had to create new codes when trying to get the Ozobots to go in the direction that they wanted.
